HeeJun Han and Jessica Sanchez Makes it to American Idol 11 Top 13

Two Asian-Americans are on the top 13 finalists on the American Idol Season 11. These two are getting their dreams a step closer.

First one is Korean-American, HeeJun Han, who is being well loved by fans and the judges. He impressed the judges with his version of Robbie Williams‘ “Angel“ on the Top 12 guys night. With this advancement, HeeJun has progressed further than his Korean-American predecessors, Paul Kim & John Park.

Here is a video of his performance of “Angel” by Robbie Williams.

The second finalist is our very own Filipino-Mexican-American, Jessica Sanchez, who before AI was a youtube sensation herself with 45 million hits. On the top 13 girls night, she performed, “Love You I Do” from Dreamgirls and earned herself a standing ovation from the judges and the audience. Hope she will not go too soon and advance further. Past seasons also had few Filipino-American finalists with Jasmine Trias, Camille Velasco, Ramielle Malubay and Thia Megia to name a few, but it was Jasmine Trias who made it all to third place in Season 3.

Here is a video of her performance of “Love You I Do” from Dreamgirls.

Goodluck HeeJun and Jessica!
