I’m on TwitterMy Tweets
I only started this blog January this year but since I’m focusing on KPOP, I just couldn’t help but post KPOP events that I attended and the fact this should be on a separate post of course because these two are members of my #1 KPOP group, SS501, Kim Kyu Jong and Heo Young Saeng, when they took Kyu Jong & Young Saeng and Story to Manila as their last stop last February 5, 2011 at the The Forum 2, PICC.
My friends and I checked in for three nights at the Sofitel Hotel where they stayed. Five days with the boys. FUN FUN FUN! 🙂 Here are some pictures that I took back then.
DAY 1, Feb 3: Arrival at the hotel at noon. This blurry pic was the best I could get since the securities were so strict. The flowers I’m holding was the donation that Weng and I made to be given to them during the press conference held later that afternoon.
DAY 2, Feb 4: Write up from the Philippine Star newspaper that day, which was also the free newspaper in the hotel. Guesting at ABS-CBN Showtime. We assisted some fans(including foreign fans who flew in) to get in since there were slots given to the fans by the show. We did not get in the studio but just stayed at The Loop and had some snacks since we knew they will not be performing. They had late lunch at Alexis III near ABS(which we were having our lunch also at the resto fronting their resto 🙂 ) and went back to guest on the radio show, DZMM’s “Showbiz Mismo”. After that, they went back to the hotel to have some rest and freshened up for their photoshoot with Sparkling Magazine.
DAY 3, Feb 5: Kyu Jong and Young Saeng and Story in Manila fan meet.
my VIP ticket, row 1, seat 19 (near the aisle)
They opened the show with ‘Because I am Stupid'(OST from Boys Over Flower), which those who were not fan who watched the show could relate. Good choice was of Grace Lee as the interpreter and host in one.
My fave would of course be the famous Philippine dessert, Halo Halo, making. KJ said that he has already tasted this, so he had the advantage over YS. As the game started, we, fans were shouting instructions to each of them as to which ingredient has to go first. YS was in front of us(we were front row), so we gave him the instructions. Funny and cute YS! 🙂 There were 4 lucky fans called up stage to taste the Halo Halo(through raffle), but since more were KJ’s fans, KJ won. The loser YS had to take the consequence of drinking the bittermelon(ampalaya) juice. YS drank the whole glass and KJ said no one told him to drink the whole glass. YS said he felt healthier and KJ told him he needed that since he was getting old. cute scene from two. ^^
One of the surprise of course was when YS came out and sang ‘Wuss Up’ with KJ, which was a special treat for Phil fans because they only did that in Manila. ^^
KJ was surprised with a birthday cake with YS bringing it from backstage since his birthday was on the 24th. We sang him in both Korean and Filipino Happy Birthday. 🙂
A suprise from our fanclub, Triple S Philippines, was the fan video made shown at the big screen with the background song ‘At The Beginning’ by Richard Marx recorded by some of us. Yeah, my first time to record a song in a studio! 🙂 Here is that video. There were Hangul subtitles so they really could understand the lyrics of the song and our message.
After the showing of the vid, they said that they were very touched by the video and KJ was speechless for seconds and was teary eyed. He asked what was the title of the song and who sang it, and said that whenever he will hear that song, he will remember the Phil fans. KJ, how sweet as always!♥♥♥
After the show, the handshake followed with the 100 lucky fans which I was also included. That will remain forever in my memory, those sincere eyes, bows, and thank you’s from both YS and KJ while shaking my hands and they got soft hands. KJ even had the effort to as if put his face level to my face. ♥ 🙂
TSPH’s gift to KJ, Beats Headphone (which we saw him wear in Korea)
TSPH’s gift to YS, vintage camera! YS upon opening the gift said, “WOW!”
DAY 4, Feb 6: Going out of the hotel to go shopping at Greenbelt. The flights were full that day so the boys and some staff had to extend their stay. Some of their staff went back to Korea that day.
DAY 5, Feb 7: Giving our final goodbyes KJ and YS when they left the hotel. We headed for lunch at Maru Korean Resto which they were also having lunch before heading to the airport. Again, said our goodbyes there.
Thank you for the memories KJ and YS. Hope one day, you would come back again together with the other SS501 members. We will be patiently waiting for that. ♥
