2017 Korea Tourism TVC Teaser with Lee Jong Suk

Imagine Your Korea is the Korea Tourism Organization‘s brand slogan and brand identity designed to better promote and communicate Korea’s tourist attractions to international tourists.

In 2014, it featured global KPOP group, BigBang with ‘Imagine Your Korea – To:ur Imagination’ (watch it here); in 2015, it featured Hallyu star, Lee Min Ho with  ‘Korea. Korea Tourism Organization’s K-Style Hub

Korea Tourism Organization‘s K-Style Hub, opened in April of 2016, is a one-stop complex that has the information to meet all tourists’ needs, from a tourist information center to various experience zones, exhibition halls and even sales of local specialty products!

The hub is divided into four segments, with the Tourist Information Center found at second level, Korean Food Exhibition and Experience Halls on the third and forth levels respectively, as well as an Art Market Hall on the fifth level. The biggest attraction of K-Style Hub lies in the fact that visitors may enjoy the Korean food culture through various hands-on programs.

K-Travel Bus: Discover Korea’s Hidden Charms Out of Seoul

The K-Travel Bus program has been launched and started full-scale on March 25, 2016 with the subsequent campaign of 2016–2018 Visit Korea Year, offering a foreigner-exclusive coach bus traveling a 2-day round trip from Seoul to South Korea’s famous local attractions in Daegu, Gangwon Province, Southern Jeolla Province, Northern Gyeongsang Province, the Southeast Region, and the city picked as “This Year’s Tourism Site.” New courses are planned to be added.

Take a wonderful trip in Korea on the K-Travel Bus now, and don’t worry a thing about transportation, lodging, and even translation.

K-Smile: Korea smiles and the world smiles back

In July of 2015, the Korea Tourism Organization through its tourism brand Imagine Your Korea produced a well-received promotional video starring Hallyu star, Lee Min Ho, which showcased the nation’s major attractions. The video garnered 7 million views in its first three weeks on YouTube.

The K-Smile campaign was also launched in October of 2015 to maintain the positive momentum for the rest of 2015 and the years ahead. This includes the 2016-2018 Visit Korea Campaign and the PyeongChang 2018 Olympics, both of which are expected to draw a large influx of tourists.

2016-2018 Visit Korea Year

A 3-year plan established for the 2016–2018 Visit Korea Year. Staged by the Visit Korea Committee, the campaign of the “2010–2012 Visit Korea Year” served as a great contributor to the achievement of the goal of attracting 10 million foreign tourists.

Based on their experience, its subsequent campaign, the 2016–2018 Visit Korea Year, is expected to lead to an even greater success by taking the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Games Olympics as a timely opportunity. The new goal is to attract 20 million foreign tourists to South Korea.

Free Admission to the Grand KPOP Festival on September in Seoul

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea (MCST) and Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) are organizing a large-scale free KPOP concert called Grand KPOP Festival for international visitors that will be held on September 4, 2015 at the Seoul Olympic Stadium. This is to promote the Korea Grand Sale 2015, which will run from August 14 to October 31, 2015.

The KPOP stars lineup includes Girls’ Generation, CN Blue, SHINee’s Taemin, BEAST, EXO’s Chen, BTOB, Block B, and EXID. The visitors can also try sample traditional Korean hansik dishes and try on traditional Korean hanbok clothes.

Starting August 20, 2015, free admission coupons will be distributed to the first 30,000 who registers online at www.grandkpopfestival.com. (Please be patient as many people are trying to access the site). You can register for up to four persons on one coupon but have to submit their passport information. Once registered, a printed screencapture of the coupon will be accepted if you are having a hard time printing the coupon.

On August 14th, South Korea launched its Korea Grand Sale 2015 for foreigners at the Incheon Airport. It will run until October 31, 2015 and now on its 6th anniversary.
